A quiz timer for fast rounds
Quizzes move fast. Thirty seconds a question, next round, keep the energy up. The timer should keep pace without you touching it between questions.
Repeat the same countdown for every question
Set the time per question: ”30s”, “1 min”, ”90s”. Turn on repeat and the countdown restarts automatically after each question. Add a short delay between rounds for reading the next question aloud.
Make the deadline visible
Show the timer large on the shared display, or take it full screen between slides. The flash at zero gives the whole room the “pencils down” moment without you shouting over the table talk.
Try the free web timer for a single round. The Mac app adds repeat, the flash at zero, and the pinned modes below.
Change the pace mid-quiz
Lightning round? Type ”15s” and press Return. Hard question? Type “Add 30s” while the timer runs. The countdown adjusts without a restart, and the quiz keeps its rhythm.
Works next to your slides
Running the quiz from Keynote or PowerPoint? The timer can stay pinned above the slideshow, so the countdown and the question share the screen.
Pub quiz, review game, trivia night, exam prep: set the seconds once and let the rounds run.
