How to keep a timer always on top on Mac

A timer pinned on top of a full screen app on Mac.

A timer in a normal window disappears the moment you switch apps. Super Easy Timer stays on top. Pin it above everything and keep the countdown in view while you work.

Pin the timer above your windows

  1. Type a time: “25 min”, “45”, or “5pm”. Press Return.
  2. Turn on the always on top mode.
  3. Drag the timer to the corner you want it in.

The timer floats above your other windows. Switch apps, click around, keep working. The countdown stays where you put it.

Try the free web timer to see the countdown. Staying on top of other apps is what the Mac app adds.

It works over full screen apps too

Most always on top tricks stop at full screen. This one does not. The timer stays visible over full screen apps and presentations like Keynote, PowerPoint, and Zoom. It does not steal focus, so whatever you are doing keeps running underneath.

Move it out of the way

Drag the timer to any corner. Shrink it small with Mini Mode while you work, or make it large when the whole room needs to see it.

A countdown you can always see is the difference between guessing and knowing.
